high school regional trophies

with many high school sports entering regionals, i thought about the plague they give as a trophy. i believe the plague where you stick it on your sectional championship trophy is one of the most cheap things ever. here a team worked hard all year and won regionals and they get a foot long plague to stick on the sectional trophy saying regional champions. i love indiana's sectional , semi-state, and state trophys. but they gotta do something with the regional plague. what are your thoughts on it?

I hope they don't get plagues --- I know they get plaques!

Considering how watered down the IHSAA scene is with 'class sports' the plaques are fine -- remember when you give ribbons and trophies to every kid in the league, $$$ will run high.

The IHSAA has been adding the plaques for 30+ years -- don't see them slowing down

TH North Patriot Softball State Runner-Up trophy is pretty big - and looks different than the sectional/regional trophy. It hangs on a wall..
