Those who don't take advantage of free admission to sporting events don't know what they are missing out on. I know, I'm preaching to the choir, but. . . I came to State in the fall of '64. My friends and I never missed a home basketball game and hit some road games at Butler, DePauw, Evansville and SIU. We missed very few home football games, swim meets, track meets and wrestling meets. We had FUN! If I were able to relive those years I would change very little about this part of my life. I imagine most of us did the same. Oh by the way, we all graduated--2, BS; 5, MS and 1 PHD in education, business, sciences and math. Where are the Bunkers when you want them? Those were the days!

Ditto but basically three years later. I certainly didn't attend every swim meet but was good friends with 10 swimmers and actually tried out and made the team but decided it would have been too time consuming for a weak student. Loved gymnastic meets and wrestling and went to every football game I could go to and when I could get into the ol' ISU Gym for hoops. That's just the way I was raised by my parents.

I keep comig back to this record Frosh class. It all starts with them. There predecessors weren't too active but I hope the new generation of student will be more pro-active on campus. They need to establish the culture and let's hope they already have. No time like the present.
