His 53 point 30 rebound game against the Kentucky All-Stars was insane. Averaged 28 and 12 his only year at IU. My father says he is the greatest high school player he ever saw. A true man among boys.

Be curious to see what his FROSH stats were; his varsity stats are widely available... the 1969-70 indiana varsity was pretty pathetic... not surprised if that frosh team dominated the varsity as did Jabbar's ucla frosh team

That Indianapolis Washington team was the BEST high school team I ever saw - Led by George McGinnis and Steve Downing legendary Indiana high school coach Bill Green. Tech and Wiley both played them that year and were slaughtered. HOF Tech coach Howard Sharp said if we played a perfect game they would beat us by 30 points. Amazing, amazing team

I was in Louisville that night sitting on the end of the court. He was just gobbling up every rebound and scoring at will.
I have to agree, the most dominating HS player IN has ever had.

When I was at state, the Danny Bush FR team beat the varsity.
