Indiana State at. Evansville Preview

Here is the preview for the ISU-UE series coming up this weekend in Evansville. Indiana State has not won a road series in Evansville sine 1998. Bacus is set to the take the mound on Friday night with Manaea going on Saturday, and Torgerson on Sunday. Indiana State leads the all-time series 93-53 but since 2000, UE leads the series 22-21. UE has won 10 of their last 12 games including a win over Vanderbilt who was in the CWS last season. UE enters the series with a 14-7 record while ISU comes in at 17-4.

Game One of the series is Friday evening at 7:00 (CDT) in Evansville. The weather is iffy. Here's the forecast from the National Weather Service as of Thursday at5:00 (EDT):

Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. Areas of fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming south between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Southwest wind between 5 and 7 mph.

I am really impressed with this years team. They are hitting for average, playing strong D, competing the whole game and pitching not just throwing. They are going to be in every game if they continuethe way they started.
