The Indoor MVC track meet is Saturday and Sunday at UNI, the meet is broadcast on ESPN3 both days, all the links are here

As for how we'll do? Honestly I'm not sure, I think WSU will be heavy favorites to win both titles. The have good athletes and depth, so that plays to their advantage.

Our women were picked 2nd, the men 5th, we just don't have a lot of depth on the men's side. Hopefully we can do well and finish as an upper half team, we'll see.

Regardless, should be a good meet, so tune in Saturday and Sunday if you have time

Women's team scores after day 1, noone will catch WSU

Wichita State 60
Northern Iowa 29
Illinois State 27
Indiana State 21
Southern Illinois 21
Missouri State 13
Bradley 12
Loyola 7
Drake 5

we didn't have any winners today, but had some make all conference (top 3)

the women's DMR was 3rd
Taylor Austin was 3rd in the women's 5k
we scored in the women's weight throw, (5th)
Redmon was 4th in the women's LJ, going 19-05.25

qualifiers for tomorrows' finals

1 in the mile
3 in the 60 hurdles
1 in the 400
1 in the 60 meter dash
2 in the 800
1 in the 200
plus all the other events that didn't have trials today and are all finals tomorrow, such as the 3k run, 4 x 400 relay, HJ, PV, TJ, and Shot Put

nice to have at least one person in all the finals, need to place high obviously, then have our field event people do well tomorrow if we're going to place 2nd.

Men's team scores after day 1, a little closer on the men's side here

Southern Illinois 40
Wichita State 37
Illinois State 25
Bradley 25
Northern Iowa 25
Indiana State 22
Drake 12
Loyola 9

we didn't have anyone make all conference (top 3) on day 1 and were shut out in the men's 5k, I can't even recall the last time that happened. We were spoiled with Mascari and the others always doing well.

qualifiers for the finals tomorrow, we're not expected to place high in any events other than the hurdles, so we'll see if we can get some bonus points from surprise finishes

2 in the mile
2 in the hurdles
1 in the 400
1 in the 60 meters
1 in the 800
1 in the 200

plus finals in the 3k, triple jump, high jump, shot put, and 4 x 400 relay.

We'll need people to seriously outperform their expectations tomorrow to break into the top 4, we should pass Bradley at least since they really don't have any people other than mainly distance runners. Drake and Loyola will bring up the rear, the other 4 teams all have full teams

ISU goes 1-2 in the men's hurdles! Neely wins! Carter gets 2nd!

Cassaundra Roper wins the women's shot put for ISU as well! Just under 50 feet

the men ended 5th, where they were predicted, the women 3rd, one spot below their predicted finish of 2nd

men's final standings, hopefully things get better soon, when we're finishing closer to Bradley than the other 4 public schools that's not good.

Wichita State 146
Southern Illinois 108
Northern Iowa 101
Illinois State 92
Indiana State 75
Bradley 59
Drake 43
Loyola 38

the highlight was obviously, going 1-2 in the men's hurdle race
