Nice article about Coach Johnson and his family. Being from Marshall I saw first-hand how well he ran a football program and how much kids want to play hard for him. He will be successful at Mattoon. They need to realize they only won 2 games last year and it's going to take time for Troy to turn the program around, but he will. It's sad he had to make a decision to leave ISU because they don't pay their assistant coaches enough to survive. If we are going to improve our athletic programs, we need to start paying our staff more money, upgrade our facilities (although we're starting to), and get quality student-athletes who want to turn this athletic department into a winner.
