Not saying that at all. I am just thinking about how this board would react to the quality of ISU baseball with losses to WIU, USI and the others listed. I think most of us would have concluded our team had some serious flaws with those losses. It was just a way to get us to think about what constitutes a quality team. Even a bad MLB team wins 60 games/year. Even a great MLB team loses 50-60/year. The nature of the game.

Baseball qualitygenerally begins with starting pitching, then quality relievers, then tight defense and finally a timely hitting offense. Murray has two top starters, something which it appears many national teams lack when facing a potent offense. And its offense has been beyond superb in the NCAA's so far.

And, it is possible those mid-week losses were 'roster development' moves.

Duke has three lefties coming to the plate. Stirka brings lefty Dylan Zentko from Brazil/Northview into the game. Zentko gets the lead off man on a grounder to first
Immediately, he is replaced.
I guess I found this a strange and risky move. If Duke scores and wins, lots of second guessing. But it all worked out
