Based on the most recent stats in the Indy Star:

Sara Evans is 16-1 with an ERA of .45 on the season. She has thrown 109 innings and struck out 153 batters.

Updating Sara Evans numbers through Sectional play (at least I think that is how far these stats go):

Record = 23-1
IP = 154
Ks = 229
ERA = 0.41
BBs = 6

Her #1 ranked team in 3A New Pal has advanced to Regionals and will take on Batesville on Saturday at 11am at Mount Vernon (Fortville). If they win that contest, they play again at 7pm against the winner of the Southmont vs Roncalli game.

Sara Evans gets the win in the 3A title game today against Andrean, leading New Pal to a 10-0 win in 5 innings. Evans allows 1 hit and is named the 3A Mental Attitude Winner. Not sure how many strikeouts she ended up with - but Andrean only had 1 baserunner, and she was thrown out on a double play before she got to 2nd base.

Sara gave up a total of two hits in the two games today. In the championship game she had 8 strikeouts and faced the minimum 15 batters in 5 innings plus she won the mental attitude award. I live in Hancock County and have seen her play a number of times she is flat out dominating. I would love to see a game between New Pal and Center Grove. I honestly feel that NP may be the best team in the state regardless of class and I am a Greenfield-Central grad. Congratulations to Sara and welcome to the Sycamore family.

Also noticed that not only did New Pal defeat the Indiana 4A Champions Center Grove 1-0, they also defeated the team that won the largest class title from Ohio - Elyria by a 4-3 score.
