If both teams finish in the top 4 it'll be a successful year, neither team has much depth and there are several events in which the men and women won't score any points. So we'll just have to see how things go, both teams need people to score who aren't predicted to score.

mixed results today, both teams advanced 9 individuals to finals tomorrow. Plus there are other field events we'll need to do well in. Admittedly the MVC is very weak this year, so maybe we do better than expected.

the meet is on ESPN3 now, the ISU women just went 1-2-3 in the mile! HUGE points for ISU.

The women are in a VERY close battle with Illinois State to win the meet, now would be a good time to tune in to watch the rest of the meet on ESPN3

Women are gonna wind up 2nd, Illinois State has too many scorers left for us to catch up.

Men will be 3rd or 4th, in a close battle with SIU. UNI and ILS are running away with it

Both teams finished where predicted. Women score more than I thought they would, so kudos to them.

Men, weren't close to 2nd or 1st, and only 16 points out of 6th place. Next year is gonna be a rough year as we lose a ton of people who scored for us, including all the distance runners who scored. Not sure what's going on but the distance runner quality at ISU is sinking fast. Cross Country this Fall will be ugly I'm afraid.

We also badly need sprinters and mid distance guys, and field event guys. Too many holes in too many events that need filled before we ever contend to win an MVC title again.

Probably the team of the meet is Bradley, kudos to them, who scored 86 points! in just SIX events (out of 17), we were only ahead of them by 9.5 points, which is just crazy. Bradley didn't have a single field event person score, and actually I don't even think they have field event people.

Lots of work that needs to be done to get back on top for ISU
