If I'm McKenna I don't even wait for him to contact me now that the release is official.

However, I'm terrified by the thought that might say: "Oh, we already had that scholarship in mind for someone else."

this is really great to hear, but raises ALOT of questions??? (if Jake winds up at ISU)

Will Jake play next season or sit?

Will anyone redshirt if Jake plays next season right away?

Will anyone transfer out of ISU because of Jake coming in?

What will the starting lineup be if Jake plays next season? Who will be 1st off the bench or will McKenna make mass substitutions like Creighton does, as though it were a hockey game?

If he plays right away there are going to be some really high expectations for this team next season.

these are GOOD problems (I think) for ISU to have.

if things work out....isn't it ironic that this was announced...

on the 30th anniversary of the 1979 ncaa title game. hmm, the last time that a big ten player transferred to indiana state was when????...lol....irony, sweet irony....lol......

next season's roster then (if Jake lands at ISU) SEVENTEEN players, wow, some of these have got to redshirt one would think.

Wow...........really some ideas on here. Call the coach quick! If some of these helpful suggestions about how to handle the roster had been made to our previous coaches over the last 30 years we surely would not have had to endure all of those losing seasons during that time period?
 
I completely disagree with cutting anyone from the current team, you never know when a player is going to be needed, everyone on that list has something they can contribute in a positive way I think.

If you have to get kelly....You might have to take a schlorship away from one of the incoming freshman then give them one their sophmore year. I mean it depends how bad you want to win. Kelly is a 6'6 guard that could be playing in the NBA in the future or over seas. College bball is a cut throat buisness you got to do what ever it takes to win. Even if its screwing someone else over. Kelly is twice the player of any of the incoming frosh

I think ISU has one scholarship to give yet, Odum gets Cutter's scholarship, Mahurin got Jay Tunnell's scholarship and Kelly will get Stinson's scholarship.

I highly doubt that we would redshirt a Junior or Senior. It doesn't work that way. If we did redshirt Carter or Reed, they would probably get mad and quit, I WOULD. Probably the most disrespectful thing you could do to a player is redshirt them at any point after their freshman year. That is a shot in the face!

By the way, we have a scholarship open. Since Cutter left, that leaves 1 scholarship open. Jake Odum is getting the scholarhip left behind by 'Rico Stinson.
