Freshmen meet and greet

You didn't mention true freshmen Steve McWhorter. Isn't he going to be there?

Only the ones above was listed on the press release...don't believe Steve will be there. Think it's also kinda promoting the local guys.

Well it is always nice to promote the local guys but it is suppose to be a greet of the freshmen and you mean to tell me that they are NOT going to include Steve just because he is not a local kid? I'm really wondering how that is going to make him feel.I thought that this was a TEAM! There are players on this TEAM other than just local guys. ISU is going to start to make the non local players on the team feel like outsiders, if they haven't felt like that already. I am all for promoting the local kids but it just isn't right to exclude someone just because they are not from Indiana.

I agree that some fans can be a little too pro local and I've griped about it on occasion here, but I think you're making too much of it on this occasion. It was the redshirt freshmen, if not, Kitchell, an Indiana kid, should have been there, too. Also, we don't know anything about who set this up. I don't expect Lansing, or the staff, to oversee every little thing like this and make sure everything is fair and that feelings are never hurt. Most of us on this board have heaped non-stop praise on Steve because he's earned it, just like some of the local guys.
