TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State Sycamores went back to work for the fourth day of preseason camp in helmets and shoulder pads at Memorial Stadium.

It was another spirited day at the office for the Sycamores as the heat beared down on the troops for most of the workouts.

ISU went through its customary stations drills and then worked on team live plays. The day was highlighted by a nice pitch and catch from Ronnie Fouch to Matt King for a long touchdown score and an interception returned for a touchdown by Calvin Burnett.

The offensive and defensive lines continued to be challenged during preseason practice as the Sycamores' success in 2010 will be based largely on their game readiness come September.

ISU also spent time in the kicking game as Cory Little and Brett Sheldon each converted shorter field goal attempts and Little was able to hold his own on the longer attempts as well.

The effects of the fourth day of camp in addition to the heat was felt as the athletic training staff was busy the entire evening filling up the water buckets and sponging off all the players, especially the linemen.

The defense continued to show that it will be much improved in 2010 as they showed a lot during the team work portion of the workout. They continually were able to apply pressure on the quarterbacks and posted a pair of turnovers.

The team also went through skelton drills where Ryan Roberts and Alex Sewall each made tremendous plays in the defensive backfield in 1-on-1 situations.

Due to expected heat indexes of over 110 degrees on Tuesday, tomorrow's workout has been moved to 8:00 p.m. (ET) to avoid the heat and humidity.
