From Championshipsubdivision.com.....

1. North Dakota State: Wasn't pretty or all that convincing, but they still shut down a powerful Illinois State offense en route to a 20-10 win.
2. Northern Iowa: Crushed the worst team in the league at this point, Missouri State, 42-7. Huge battle at the pUNI Dome next weekend against Indiana State!
3. Indiana State: Struggled in the first half leading just 10-9 at the break, but broke it wide open in the 2nd half en route to a 38-28 win over SDSU. It was 38-15 at one point, so don't read too much into the ten point outcome.
4. Youngstown State: BYE Week. YSU celebrating the 1991 National Championship team next weekend at Stambaugh. I'd say 65-75% chance that Jim Tressel will be in attendance. Read today's article in the Vindicator about the 1991 YSU team.
5. Southern Illinois: Has played two of the worst teams in the league this year, MSU and WIU, just awful. They do not deserve to be ranked. They lost their QB, but you don't give up 27 points to WIU, you just don't, if you are a ranked team.
6. Illinois State: ILSU's playoff hopes took a big shot in their 20-10 loss to NDSU. Now 2-3 on the year and 1-2 in the conference. I think their hopes of a playoff birth are slim to none.
7: Western Illinois: Out of the cellar this week after an impressive 27-21 win over a ranked SIU team. Shocked they scored 27 points on the Saluki's, but they did. Kudos to WIU. Maybe they can win 3-4 games this year after all. I'd be worried MSU and SDSU.
8. South Dakota State: Just not good this year, no way around it. Going to struggle to win more than 2 games this season.
9. Missouri State: Right where they were predicted to be at the beginning of the season. MSU is bad this year, and it doesn't help that they had to take on two BCS powers as well. Could go 0-11.
