I would just like to put out there to every coach of every team in every sport -

TRYING TO EAT CLOCK ONLY LEADS TO LOSING!

How many times do I have to watch the same scenario before coaches figure it out? Good Lord, it's not rocket science!!!!

Congrats to Ron Hunter and Georgia State and also to UAB!!!

I disagree. If you have a good lead, your odds are better if you limit the number of shots. And you certainly want to be patient and work for a good shot.
You're right. Statistical averages are not rocket science.

I disagree. When you have momentum, and you've built your lead a certain way, artificially slowing the game down TOO EARLY will give your opponent an opportunity because you've changed the equation, and you're not doing what led to your lead in the first place. If you've been running them off the court, you should continue running them off the court BECAUSE IT WORKED. If you were already playing at a snail's pace, then there's really no difference.

Haven't you ever seen the slow down, prevent-type game cost teams W's? I've seen it so many times it's sickening. Ask Baylor how it worked out for them today...

I have seen everything. Have you ever seen a team with a 11 pt lead and 2:54 to go, use the clock and win the game?

Maybe Baylor's 21 TO's had something to do with it. And maybe getting out scored 13-0 had something to do with it.

I'll tell you though, R J Hunter was one of the best in his class in Indiana coming out of HS.

Up 55-44 with 2:54 to go and RJ took over.
Baylor had 3 fouls, 4 TO's and missed 4 shots.
That loses games.

I understand what you're saying about momentum, but not slowing down does not guarantee that you will make shots and not turn it over.

Not that it means much, but did anyone else notice bryson scott on the bench towards the end? Looks like he would have rather been anywhere else. Crazy to be that negative during a exciting NCAA game. I dont think he played in the game....but still.....

Yes. Seems strange to me that PJ is playing in front of him from what I've seen this year.

Well, now I'm rooting for Hampton! Any teams whose coach calls Jesus during a press conference has my vote!

Up and at 'em guys! Day 2!!! Time for the MVC to go 2-0 today! I have an IU fan's car to wrap in yellow and black streamers after the Shocks win!!!

Has anyone noticed how much contact is allowed now? We are going to have to play more physical here if the MVC officials allow it.

When the offensive player initiates contact, the foul is on the defender most of the time. We need to take advantage of that. Players are even clearing space now with their off arm to shoot.

People in the KC area are salivating at the thought of a WSU-KU matchup in the round of 32. It's the game that all KU fans fear, and it's the game that all WSU have wanted for years.

Why do I just have a feeling that something is going to happen today to screw that up?
