VA Tech last night.
It was amazing how the guards drove almost every possession. And they always "created" contact with the defenders and finished and/or were "fouled." Today's game is not about creating space inside to shoot. It's about clearing out and/or crashing into the defender. The only time you get an offensive foul is if you use your arm or, sometimes, shoulder. Your body is a legal weapon, just like in football.

Seems like it's been going on for years; definitely getting worse. I rarely see anyone called for using an 'arm bar' to create space; it's called as often as the 'chicken wing / chicken hook'... so, it's never called.

Good Lord, if they called the "arm bar" Northern Iowa forwards and centers would foul out in the first half.

Maybe it takes more strength, but I don't think we are physical enough on offense.
