Gosycamores.com seems to have a little issue with math: 2 (1st) + 3 (2nd) + 4 (HM) = 10? At least Sycamore Pride's got it right!

Good work by all 9 (same number as last year). Would have liked to see Fieser get the bump to 1st or 2nd team from his Honorable mention last year. The kid is just a hits machine

MLB Draft

Is Jacob Petricka the only non-Sr who is draft eligible?

Do we have any chance of make the NCAA w/out winning the MVC Tourney?

To be eligible for the draft, you have to have completed you junior year or be 21 years old. I would say that Petricka is the only player (who is a junior) we are likely to lose to the draft in June. Regarding your other question, Heller said yesterday that the only team likely to get into the tournament from the MVC is the winner of the tournament. Beyond that, invitations are given to teams with high RPI rankings. Heller says noone in the MVC would be considered based upon RPI ranking.

Thoughts on Petricka staying for his Sr. season?

Any hope of a 'northern' team winning the CWS this year? Seems like the power schools are all southern/western teams

Very slim chance Petricka would stay if he's drafted with some good money attached. His goal is pro ball. He was drafted down the list last year and opted to hone his skills and go into the draft pool again this June. It looks like his decision was wise. He would love to have a super performance today and for the rest of the tournament as scores of scouts will be watching.
