On this day in 1983, IndState football beat Eastern Illinois (and QB Sean Payton) 16-13 in two OTs in
an FCS first-round playoff game at Terre Haute's Memorial Stadium.
To this day Sean says the Sycamores interfered with his receivers on a couple key plays. Sycamores weren't called for penalties.


No doubt in my mind--the man should write a book on ISU football.

I was there, it was a very cold day!! Those were the years when we had repectful student turn out, who utilzied the north bleaches, drinking wiskie out of Indian flax Lastly, proud to say, I attented the largest crowd of 18k plus.
