Pacers: Myles Turner

So what do fellow Pacer fans think about the Myles Turner pick? I thought it made sense given his potential and the fact that he was the best big left on the board.

I see Doyel is disappointed they didn't draft Lyles:

I actually really like the idea. Looking at the future - as in the next few years - They can play Whittington at the 4 and Turner at the 5. Both are big but fairly mobile. For example - depending on how well Turner develops. I think we just made ourselves a lot younger and we have guys with good stroke and decent speed. This goes along with what Larry has looked for.

Pacers fans have complained in the past about them not drafting high-reward type guys, so they can't complain when they do. If you hated the Plumlee, Hill, Hansbrough, etc. draft picks then you should love this one. The kid is RAW and has a ton of potential. It's on the coaches to unlock that potential. I'd rather the Pacers drafted Devin Booker or Payne because I think both of those guys are playmakers and scorers, but I definitely see the value and upside in drafting Turner.
