Did I hear that right that Dougie won the player of the year award earlier? I'm shocked, just shocked. I mean, even though they put his name on the trophy at the start of the season and were going to give it to him regardless of what anyone else in the conference did, I still can't believe he won. The tension in the room before they announced it must have been intense.

I heard that he tripped over a chord on the way up to the stage and the league called an intentional foul for him. He gets to start the game tomorrow on the line.

However, no truth to the rumor that next year the MVC is going to rename the free throw line the Dougie line.
