Bally #50

The JSW Level
1. My new work schedule has made it much tougher for me to make my usual amount of home games. My frustration is off the charts when I am missing a game like tonight. Side note: I had mentioned to my boss that I might have a ticket to tonight's game and he said fine, take off early. Then the guy I usually attend games with for some reason left a message on my HOME phone and asked me to go to the game but I didn't get that until the game had already started. Bottom line, I could have been there but wasn't. Blood pressure rising

2. Then I hurry home to check Channelsurfing and NO GAME. Then I try the WBOW-AM audio stream, only to have it spin when I click on it but no audio. Then I try it again and it say download software that I already have (from last season). Still spinning and it won't let me download the s/w anyway. Then I change browser and I get SOUND but it is jazz and it says that the live programming is blacked out? Geesh, my BP must be off the charts.

3. Jason is doing a great job with his play-by-play but there seems to be a lag time from the live blog from GoSycamores. All I really want to hear is how fricking loud the place has been. Not a relaxing way to listen to the game.

4. Then all I see is that we are getting hosed by the refs. They couldn't be that bad, right?

5. Then after much confusion, we get a free throw on the last second shot but no one seemed to know that. After screwing us, they give us the game.

6. The good news, WE WON and our huge home winning streak is intact and we are tied for FIRST~

7. Beautiful.

8. Megan did it. I doubted the logic of a 2-day promo and I never will again. I still think it could have been bigger but the best news of all is the overwhelming response from our students. I am so proud of them and certainly hope they return.

9. It's a great time to be a TREE! The fun is back in both football and basketball. I hope you realize that many of those people that had all that fun tonight will return. We are on a fricking roll.

Yes, I feel terrible that I missed the game, especially when I could have gone and been in the middle of all that. Put February 12th on your calendar. That is the day for the 6th Annual Out-of-Towner's game against Drake. I will fill you in soon on all the details in a day or so, but you'll be able to get as many FREE tickets for that game as you want. Free tickets, Free pizza and a great event to see old friends as we have our "winter" homecoming. Stay tuned.

I need to get to bed, my blood pressure is off the charts. A simply GREAT day in Sycamore basketball. Congrats to all involved.

....and ONE more point.......with over 2000 students in attendence, I could care less what they decided to do when the game was over. We need them and they did our University proud tonight. Yeah, it's a little over-the-top, but who cares. Get over it MSU.

Well said as usual, Bally. I was planning on coming both Sunday and today, but an unexpected trip to the ER took that away. I was following Bodas SP updates when the nurse tried to take my cell phone away from me in the ER... I told her she could try...

OK, that's funny. :wordyo:

I know what you mean about the work schedule problems. I guess with this economy it is a good problem to have. I have been able to see exactly one home game this season. It was neither of the last two. Probably a good thing. My heart may not take it like it used to.
