Ok so to change the mood a little and have a little fun lets see what everyones favorite and not so favorite timeout promotions are
1. Favorite : The true false promotion is absolutly my favorite of all time . this is so much fun and really gets the crowd in to the promotion all the while letting us know about strokes and heart attacks. Genius
2. Least : I think it has to be the find the rex coffee mug . To me its boring and brings nothing other than advertising for the Hulman company . Sux
Thoughts ?

haven't been at a game yet this year...can you list out all the promotions for those of us that can't be at but one or two games a year?
 
Wheel of Queso for me

The sound system is so bad that I still cant figure out who wins and why the numbers on the wheel....Im pretty sure thats not what they want.

The Rex and the dice also suck IMO, Love the little kids and the uniforms, shoes, shots.

Like students winning commons cash
 
They need to change the dice game. One lady last night seemed to just put it down on the court on whatever number she wanted. Someone at a football game did the same thing. The little kids putting on the uniform, etc., is OK, but they seem to have a set list of eight things and they do all of them every game. They need a larger list to pick from and do them less frequently.

I work for the department that films the promotions and puts them on the big board. With that being said, the one that's probably the most fun to do is the kiss cam. It's always funny seeing people's reactions.
 
Good Promotions:
Dress Like a Sycamore - By far the most entertaining.
Kiss Cam - not a bad audience participation
Shooting contests - it IS Indiana Basketball afterall.
Anything that plays the Wabash Cannonball all the way through.... ok, none of the promotions do... but if you want MY vote for a new one, there you go!!
Baesler's promotion isn't bad either - involves the audience again.
The new "Do you know your Sycamores" is a good idea too


Bad Execution of Promotions:
Union Hospital True/False - zero audience particpation, takes up valuable "Cannonball" time!
The Dice... HATE the dice - I'd rather them wheel a big PLINKO board out there, it would be more suspenseful.

What COULD be good
Rex Coffee promotion COULD be good, but all 3 cups get back in the right corner and it's pretty much a guessing game from there..
 
The promotion they did at the game on Monday was pretty good. They had a fan out of the student section attempt to eat a large Bally pizza in 10 minutes and if he did everybody go to eat for free at the Bally.

The Dice Roll

They bring out the the 2 giant Dice to every sporting event. Rex Games, football, baseball, and basketball, its not exciting at all. they need to bring back the shoot for loot half court shot.
