This is really for Tommy, but I would be interested to see what everyone thinks, too.

How do you keep the majority of the 700+ Forest members engaged throughout the year? You know they're mostly freshmen, and that they'll hear from upper class students that it's lame to go to football and basketball games, that it's better just to sit in the dorm and drink yourself silly. So, what's the plan for keeping these people active?

Can you imagine the impact that having at least 500 students at every football and basketball game would have on the atmosphere, and by extension, the team?

So, let's hear it, creative brain trust of Sycamore Pride. Oh yeah, and if you're out there, Tommy, what's the plan for this?

I don't have a long term plan I can post right now. Short term, we are having a Forest event this afternoon 3:30-5 at Memorial Stadium. We are having a tailgate/hype event and we are taking all the students that show up into Memorial Stadium to show them where we are going to be sitting. I've got decent response from students but I know it's at a weird time. Coach is going to come talk to the group and get some players to socialize as well.

We also have our Running with the Trees on Saturday. Students get to take the field with the football team and one lucky freshman will win an iPad.

SycLynch...
Do they run the free buses to the stadium on Saturdays?
If so, what times do they run?

Any chance to "commandeer" one of those buses - and have a large banner on the sides of it with your Forest logo??

And I assume that "The Forest" will be an active participant in the new tradition "The March"?

We have buses going to and from games. I love the banner idea.

I am getting to Forest as engaged with the March as possible. Like everything else I've done with the Forest. It's simply going to be a trial and error process. I'm expecting good things though. Enthusiasm is there I think Quincy is going to draw a large student crowd.
