Wednesday's home game against SIU Edwardsville is facing cancellation due to the forecast of rain/snow and 34-degrees...but the forecast for the weekend series (in North Carolina) is looking good. Not playing the mid-week games seems to be favoring the Sycamores as they now have a record 11-1 record to start the season. Not having mid-week games also allows proper rest for a team that is short on arms on the mound. Here's the link for the Terre Haute NWS site:

I read somewhere, not sure where, newspaper, website,... can't remember, but it was mentioned the game could be moved up to Tuesday because of the weather.

Fungo...I believe they don't need the game...especially with no break between the weekend series and a Tuesday game. The team is managing it's arms well...but they are short staffed. They must make sure the arms stay healthy. They don't have the wiggle room to lose a pitcher to injury...which is inevitable. There already appears to be a problem with Tyler Browning...don't know if it is injury-related. As the arms strengthen, then the mid-week game is not a problem.

I would certainly agree. I just recall reading somewhere that they were thinking about moving the game up to get it in. I hope we aren't getting greedy.

Ahhh, this is where I read it..

I like the idea of one mid-week game and I think we'd be fine with that. It seems that Lunsford is a decent #4 starter. It would also give Hannahs the ability to develop some more arms. Does anyone know what is going on with the pitchers we redshirted last year, like Boynton and Martin? Are they still here? Injured? Not ready?
