I started a separate thread because I didn’t want it to get lost in the game thread. For those that couldn’t make it today, you missed a great event. At times in the past, our athletic department and overall ISU administration has been their own worst enemy by continually dropping the ball. That was not the case today. This was a first class event. It was obvious they put a lot of time and effort into this day. All the social media stuff, the time out tributes, the new banner, toilet paper, videos, the emcee, and even having portable concession stands to handle the crowd. The other thing we noticed was that it wasn’t all about Larry. They recognized everybody and got everybody involved. It was a great event and made me proud to be a Sycamore. If you get the chance, be sure to thank all that made it possible. I’ve gotten to know Sherard personally, and he has big plans and a vision to make our athletic department the best it can be. One other thing, this community will support this team if we give them a reason too. They showed that 40 years ago and again today. Go Sycamores!

My sentiments as well. Job well done. Really glad I was able to attend. I also feel the people of this area are hungry for a winning program. Loved the atmosphere today!

I flew in from AZ for this event, drove from near Muncie this morning with a family member, and spent nearly 6 hrs driving back to Jay Co in this crazy weather in order to experience it. It was worth every penny, mile, and anxious driving moment to have done it! It was excellent! My first return to HCUC in 33 years and I am SO glad that I did it. It was a great day to be a Tree!

I want to echo everything above. I come to 2 -- 4 games a year and except for the Odum years this was the best crowd we've had -- numbers and energy. Tough loss but watched game again this morning, and we had some real nice moments on the floor.
Most importantly the ceremonies were absolutely first class (wish they'd get the PA system upgraded though). It was a great day for ISU --- even with the 25 mph trip back to Indy afterwards. Players spoke well, videos were great, Nicks interview during the game with ESPNU was well done --- nice job everyone !
