Daniel injured -- Rex general manager Roland Shelton said Terre Haute infielder Derick Daniel will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in Thursday night's game.
Daniel batted .233 in 20 games for the Rex this year and hit the first walkoff hit in franchise history. He had one double, three RBI and seven runs before his injury.
Shelton said the team has contacted the Cape Cod League, among others, looking for players to replace Daniel and Jake Wood, who is out for the season with a broken wrist.
