Saw Clint Barmes Play Yesterday

Went down to San Diego yesterday with a couple buddies and saw the Padres/Pirates game. During warm ups, I went down to the first base line area and yelled "Hey Clint! Indiana State!" He looked over and gave me a little nod which was fun.

Clint Question....during the game when Clint was batting, there was a graphic/stat on the jumbo-tron that said "Clint played one season at Indiana State University before transferring to Olney CC". Is that right? He only played one season at State? Didn't seem right.

Yes, according to the 2012 ISU Baseball Record Book, Barmes played for one season in 2000. He led the team team in all offensive categories except RBI's. He had a .375 batting average, stole 20 bags, scored 63 runs, had 18 doubles, 93 hits, 10 home runs and seven triples

I don't think he transferred to Olney after ISU. I'm pretty sure he went pro after his one season here. Also, didn't he have like a 35 game hit streak at ISU?

Barmes went to Olney BEFORE he came to State; one season at State and he was drafted, he was in the Majors by 2003, though he was still considered a rookie in 2005 (finished 8th in RoY voting... he got hurt, which hurt his cause...)
