Darcy Wood, the all-time MVC Strikeout leader, is signed to play this summer for the Philadelphia Force in the National Pro Fastpitch league - the women's professional league loosely affiliated with Major League Baseball. Wood is the 5th MVC player in the 5 team league this year, joining fellow pitchers Stacy Birk (Illinois State), Margo Pruis (Wichita State), and Cassidy Scoggins (Southern Illinois) along with SS Laura Harms (Bradley).
