The All-MVC Level
The SEC is generally recognized at the best BCS league but last year Utah dismantled 'Bama so I thought I would take a look at who the SEC plays OOC.

The results confirmed what I suspected.

Total wins against the other 5 BCS Leagues: 6 (Va, Tech by Bama, Texas A&M by Ark; West Va by Auburn; Ariz St by Georgia; Washington by LSU; NC State by S. Caro; These are not exactly BCS powers which were defeated I might note. Va Tech is normally a decent win but it is down even in ACC play this year.

Total Losses against other 5 BCS Leagues: 4 ( Ga Tech over Vandy, Miss State, ; UCLA over Tn; Ok St over Georgia

So hapless ND has as many victories over the other five BCS leagues as the entire SEC!! Charlie Weis might look like a genius again in the SEC???

Other Opponents of THE BEST LEAGUE IN THE COUNTRY:

Bama: Florida Int'l+ North Texas + UT Chattanooga
Arkansas: Missouri State + Eastern Mich+Troy
Auburn: La Tech + Furman
Ga: Tn Tech only. Played 1-1 versus BCS OOC Ariz State and Ok State
LSU: La. Lafayette+Tulane+La Tech today
Florida: Charleston Southern+ Troy + Fl. Intn'l
Ole Miss: Memphis+ SE La + UAB + Northern Ariz
Miss State: Jackson State+Houston (Loss) +Mid Tn
So. Carolina: Fl. Atlantic+ S. C. State
Tennessee: Western KY+Ohio U+ Memphis
Vandy: W. Carolina+Rice+Army

So how do we know the SEC is the best league when they rack up almost 3 wins/school against teams listed above and barely go 500 against the other BCS leagues and don't play any of the top teams from those leagues except Ga. Tech which won every game against SEC opponents.

Just some food for thought as Football winds down and we are constantly reminded by CBS that Bama and Florida are the two best teams in the country.

It's the same mindset

that says nd is a Football Power EVERY SEASON!!

The mindset that says nd will defeat (not upset) but DEFEAT Pitt this evening...

Like many a political strategist will tell you; 'Stay on message'

If you say something enough times, people will believe it.
