....and it got me thinking what almost came to pass when the Circle City Classic was first organized in Indianapolis.

When plans for the series first came up, one of the suggestions was that a local host school was needed who would play a historically black college each season at the RCA Dome.

The host school was going to be Indiana State. And the Sycamores would play Grambling, South Carolina State, Florida A&M, Morgan State, Central State, etc.

But after further discussions, it was decided that two HBC would play each other.

Wonder what the $$$$ delta is? Doesn't Indy see a net INCREASE in $$?

Most of that $$ isn't local; it comes from a afar, it's NEW money into the economy.

Where ISU to host; approximately half of that money would be local
