That is somewhat common, its true at Ivy Tech (somewhat) tuition was frozen for all state employees and veterans so it didn't increase. Also, in many cases state employees get discounts or don't have to pay back student loans either...not surprising.

I'm still trying to understand the void that WGU is filling...

I spent a few minutes exploring WGU's web site. It appears that you can become a science teacher online with your only lab experience coming from a $300 equipment lab for your kitchen. :krazy::krazy: Yep, Mitch is concerned about the students. :verysad:

Mitch Daniels' Higher Education Plan:

Indiana University
Purdue University
Ivy Tech
Western Governor's University

I'd say I don't get the man, but unfortuately I do...:verysad:

Catering to those who can't afford to drive to school and need to cheat to pass exams. Made to order~

yes but doesn't this apply to ALL on-line colleges?

I'm guessing that WGU is cheaper than the rest??

A bad plan -- he should have leaned on the state colleges FIRST -- maybe he did and seeing as how he has the most transparent administration in the history of Indiana governors... I'm SURE we'll see those meeting minutes SOON!
