Strong Pitching and Hot Bats Lead to Series Win over SLU, 13-2

ST. LOUIS – Redshirt senior Geremy Guerrero retired the first 18 Saint Louis batters he faced as No. 23 Indiana State ran away with a 13-2 victory to secure the series win Friday at the Billikens Sports Center. The Sycamores improved to 13-6 on the season while SLU dropped to 7-18.

Pitching didn’t show up today. No way we should give up 8 runs to StL. Some were unearned due to errors. Not a good showing today, not sure if stay in the top 25 losing to the Billikens. Should have been a sweep but we are down 8-5 with only five outs left.

Dropped is 7 places in the RPI. And they aren’t too many Valley teams in the top 100 so quality wins will be hard to get going forward.
