The 2.2 inches of rain over the past two days has made playing today's re-scheduled double-header against Wright State an impossibility. The Sycamores are heading home this morning after playing just one game of the four game Dayton Classic Tournament.
The weather was to be greatly improved...but it was standing water and muddy basepaths that got in the way. The forecast for game one was for cloudy skies with no rain with a chance of light showers during game two.
I wouldn't be surprised if the team didn't have a simulated intra-squad game today when they get back to Terre Haute. That would certainly make sense to get them playing outdoors although I see the Haute is expecting cloudy skies for the rest of the afternoon with temps in the upper 30's...so maybe not!
The Sycs will next see action this Tuesday at St Louis University with a 3:00 p.m. (ET) game time.
