Sycamore cross country set to host Great Lakes Regional Championships on Friday

The Sycamore men's and women's cross country teams are ready to compete against some of the nation's best for a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships at this Friday's NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships, hosted by Indiana State.

ISU's lone senior, Taylor Austin finished 20th and earned all Regional honors in the women's race, still waiting on results. She has an outside chance to qualify for the NCAA meet in Louisville as an individual. Depends on how many teams advance from our regional

the women were 13th in the team standings! Very nice as they were not ranked in the top 15 in the Great Lakes regional coming in to the meet. Great job girls!

Austin will not advance as an individual sadly.

very disappointing race for the men, they were 18th place, didn't look like anyone ran real well. Heck, we even lost to IUPUI.

It was a cold and windy day at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course for the Great Lakes Regional, but that didn't stop the Taylor Austin and the Sycamores from putting on several strong performances.
