TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State closes out its seven-game road trip on Tuesday night as the Sycamores travel to Big Ten co-leader Illinois to wrap up the home-and-home schedule with the Fighting Illini in the 2024 season. First pitch between the Sycamores and Illinois is set for 7 p.m. ET with the game to be carried live on B1G+ and 105.5 The Legend.

Maybe we should just not play midweek games....wow ugly start to this one. Sycamores trail 8-1 not even out of the 2nd yet. YIKES!
 
Final Illini 21 ISU 11.

It wad a good effort to put up 11 on the road against a good B1G team, that 2nd inning was just a hole we could never dig out of

Or the 3rd....gave up back to back 6 run innings. Our pitching in midweek games has not been good for a while, with the exception being at purdue a few weeks ago. Smoked at Vandy, Smoked at IU, Smoked tonight....disappointing.
 
Not sure what the thought process was on pulling Pruitt with two outs and one on in the second unless he was on a strict pitch count. Was only at 36. Don’t see why you start him if that’s all he has either.
