If anyone has some info on Illysa's story, please let us know. I met her just before the season started and a close friend of mine was involved with getting her to TH. When I talked with her, she was in love with being at ISU and loved her teamates as well (although not surprising, did NOT like the weather as she is from Fort Lauderdale). She is a VERY GOOD player and in my opinion, a big loss if all this is true. Any info would be appreciated.

THANKS, Moss! I sure hope that is correct. I thought she might have received more playing time but that is primarily because I knew she was a very strong player in HS but on a new squad, things don't always work out as planned. I think she might turn into something special if she sticks it out here.

My batteries are getting weak. How long must I stay tuned before an answer is forthcoming?

Based upon what little I know, she left for no reason whatsoever which, I submit, is a conscious abandonment of her commitment. You suggest otherwise but no basis for your position has been revealed. Is she dropping out of school? She was quoted in the newspaper as saying she is transferring but it does not say when. As excited as Illyssa (and her parents) seemed to be at the beginning of the season and as excited as the coaching staff was to land her, this abrupt change of heart is puzzling. If, as you assert, the situation is "truly unfortunate for Illyssa and for the rest of the team" (and I have no reason to doubt you), I wish Illyssa the best and her family the best. I am hopeful that the misfortune is the right decision for her in the long run.
