Sycamores Take On Almost-Conference Foe Dallas Baptist--Series Preview (4/20)

Well, the team that first said yest to joining the MVC, then bowed out, will be in Terre Haute this weekend for a non-conference match-up that is bound to give ISU a real run for their money! The Patriots have won SEVEN straight series!

With the NCAA Tournament just over one month away, the series will be key for future selection and ranking. Indiana State entered the week ranked 56th in the RPI, while Dallas Baptist checked in at 33rd. Both ISU and DBU are receiving votes in the majority of the baseball polls from the around the country.

Gametimes are: 6:30 Friday; 2:00 Saturday; and 1:00 Sunday.

The one-run extra inning fare won't work this weekend. We have to strike early in the game and get the clutch hitting we need. We can't load the bases five times, like on Tuesday, and not get the runners home. DBU rivals MSU in quality...possibly better...as they took two out of three from MSU a few weeks ago. The Sycamores need to bring their A Game is they expect to win the series. And if ISU wins the series, they can take the rest of their series this season!
