After watching 3 games in Florida we might have to set our sights just a bit higher than originally thought. It's only 3 games but our starting pitching looked very good in all 3 games.Working quick ,throwing strikes on the majority of first pitches and generally challenging hitters all day.

Our hitters also have a different look so far.We were aggressive at the plate but also selective if that's possible.Against Auburn we had 8 hits but every time we had someone on base we hit a shot right at someone. This happened at least 3 times.

Against Connecticut we got enough hits to win with our great pitching.Freshman Ryan Keaffaber pitched the last inning in fine fashion.

Against Ohio State Brad Lombard pitched very well except for a 3 run homer that put Ohio State ahead. The offense got that back with 2 runs in the next inning and never looked back.I think we had 14 hits and put pressure on the whole game.

Like I said ,it's early but this team looks to be much improved from last season.Time will tell.

Forgot,Keaffaber got the last 4 outs in the OSU game also looking very poised for a freshman.
