T-Storms At Tennessee-Martin Cancels ALL 3 Games! (4/26)

A large area of rain stretches from the Oklahoma line to Martin, TN as of 1:45 (ET). More rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast for Saturday as well. Here is the link to the National Weather Service page providing updated information for Martin, TN:

A of 5:15 (ET), they have delayed the start of tonight's (Friday's) game to 9:00 (ET), 8:00 local. They'll try to get the game in without major delays. Stay tuned for late updates.

A of 8:15 (ET) radar for Martin, TN is not looking promising. Still thunderstorms lined up to roll through. I'd bet on seeing a single game tomorrow sometime and a possible doubleheader Sunday...since Sunday appears to be rain free.

At 9:00 p.m. (ET) the word is that an official ruling on whether there will be a game tonight will come within 20 minutes. Radar is saying "no." But, we'll see how long they want to delay.

As of 9:25 p.m. (ET), it was announced that tonight's (Friday's) game has been cancelled. No word on whether they will try to make it up this weekend. But, if not, there will be a game Saturday at 4:00 (ET) and Sunday at 2:00 (ET)...all weather permitting. Weather looking iffy for Saturday. Sunday is better, but rain is possible.

Confirmed they will try to play a single game Saturday at 4:00 (ET). No make-up apparently for Friday's cancellation.

Well, for the second straight day, the UTM/ISU Baseball game has ben cancelled due to rain and wet conditions. The plan is to have a doubleheader Sunday. A firm start time has not been announced as of 5:00 p.m. (ET) Saturday. The Sycamore team did work out today on the all-weather football field at UTM.

NOW, at 5:30 (ET), the UTM baseball website says they will try to play at least one game Sunday beginning at 1:00 (ET).

MARTIN, Tenn. – Heavy rain in the Martin, Tenn., area from Thursday through Saturday has forced Indiana State and UT Martin to cancel their three-game weekend series in northwest Tennessee.

Indiana State returns to Terre Haute for 12 of their final 13 regular season games, beginning with four games next week. The Sycamores host DePauw on Wednesday, May 1, at 6:00 p.m. before returning to Missouri Valley Conference play next weekend against the Evansville Purple Aces.
