What a pathetic showing by the Big East conference. I think they should be renamed. Just a matter of time before the rest fall, it would seem.

Just a question can anyone confirm or deny that the Ben Alan ( Allen) that plays for st marys the same guy who played and left for the Loosiers a couple years ago?
 
Yeah, all of the guys who left IU a few years ago are now on much better teams playing in the tournament this year. Just goes to show what they could have had if Sampson hadn't insisted on being the miserable cheater he is.

IU got screwed big time by the NCAA. Sampson was only making too many phone calls and text messaging, and he got in trouble once already in Oklahoma. He broke the rules and got punished more serve than he should of been for the crime.

We have USC always getting caught supposedly paying players and buying houses for athlete's families, lane kiffin breaking a rule every time he wakes up, and coach calipari is still coaching. Miles Brand had a personal vendetta against IU after he left the school to head the NCAA. He hated the fact that a school like IU let a coach become bigger than the university. Miles Brand caused the demise of IU Basketball.

haha are you serious? someone a little bitter? you say USC "supposedly" paying players. Big word there. Hasn't been proven. He broke the rules, so why not get punished for it? Hell google Crean violations at IU and he has already one self imposed violation for one extra phone call!

look up their basketball program and Oj Mayo. They got caught last year with basketball. The reggie bush case is still pending.

IU got screwed by Miles Brand because he didnt like his time at IU as president playing second fiddle to a basketball coach. If Sampson was caught again at Oklahoma, he would of not recieved the same punishment. Since it was IU, they wanted to make an example out of the school.
 
I agree with you. USC makes all these violations, and all they get is a slap on the wrist. IU gets a coach that makes an extra phone call, and we get the death sentence.

What exactly did IU recieve from their violations?
 
basically lost their coach who was a recruiting mad man. before he left oklahoma he had Scottie Reynolds and Damion james commited there. i loved sampson, his only downfall is he talks and texts more than a 12 year old girl.

sampson isnt allowed in the NCAA for a certain amount of time i believe also. i dont know the exact punishment without looking it up
 
he's allowed but he has to get permission by the NCAA first..which he applied for last year maybe but was denied? I mean it's not like they were banned from postseason tournament or anything. Just lost like 2 scholarships or something. No excuses for their downfall but I love seeing it though!
 
I can't stand to see IU in this downfall any longer. I am a huge Hoosiers fan, and it pains me to see IU like this. IU will be back to their selves in about a year or two.
 
they lost more than 2 scolly's as a whole. when sampson was made to quit, the team quit as well. I blame Dan Dakick (thats probably mispelled but dan can bite me) for kicking everyone off the team and causing others to transfer.

I really dont care if athletes go to class or party. if they can make the minimum grades then they can play. their not there for school, their there to win. thats why many of these players for iu left or were asked to leave

well I agree with you a certain part. I do blame Dakich. and as far as the athletes, it's ok to party and drink but if ya get caught smokin pot or missing team meetings then that isn't acceptable and should be booted from team, no matter how talented ya are

I think many will agree that you can be an IU fan if you want, but keep that trash off of this forum.

So as long as you win your players dont have to attend class, can have positive drug tests?

Dakitch did the right thing, 100%, and he did it knowing it wouldnt help him get the job, thats character.

Maybe the most asanine post in the history of this board.
