TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - As part of the Real Men Read program, male volunteers will go into Vigo County Schools and read with students.
All it takes is one hour a month.
These MENtors will show the value of education and literacy.
They will also be a strong male role model encouraging kids to do their best in school and to work for success.
MENtors are armed with lesson plans and question sheets to help lead a discussion about the books they are reading.
There are several ways for people to be involved in the program, whether mentoring or purchasing books for a class.
