Interesting fact as I have always enjoyed hearing about the improptu (in their fan's minds) caravan heading West on I-44 a day or two ahead of schedule, leaving behind cheap tickets and empty motel rooms. Always brought me warm and fuzzy feelings. It says they never have won it in St.Louis...........don't know why they expect to this time?

Wichita State takes the No. 1 seed into the State Farm MVC Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Shockers, ranked in the Top 25 in each of the past three weeks, are the top seed for the third time (1981, 2006) in their history. Wichita State has twice previously won the MVC Tournament (1985 and 1987), but has not claimed a title since the event moved to St. Louis in 1991. The Shockers enter the State Farm MVC Tournament having won eight-straight and 16 of their past 17 games."
