To the Sycamore Basketball players

It has been mention that some of you view this board. As you have read most posts are pretty down on the team now. As a O.F. , that's means Old Fart and being there of the Bird Era, I like to give you this fans view. You guys have know what's going on, we don't. You players have made us as proud as could be, you know when. The talk of post season possibilities have raised the bar. Yet something has gone south. You guys must realize you are representing not only ISU but also the city of Terre Haute, Wabash Valley, Indiana and the thousands of alumi through out our country. Many as like myself, has traveled hundreds of miles to root for you at games at home and away. There are rumors as what is going on, only you guys know for sure. Please look into your hearts and think of YOUR fans, both old and young. The kids who look up to you and the rest of us who proudly wear the blue of ISU and get the team right and do what you guys are capable of doing!!!!

There are a lot of us old farts on here and in the stands. We get tired of waiting until next year as next year may not come for a lot of us. This is the most talented team representing ISU for several years and you were rising to the top of the heap and have had multiple opportunities to get there. Why oh why do you leave your game in Terre Haute when you go on the road? Need to go back and watch "Hoosiers" over and over and over and listen to Norman Dale explain the 10 ft. basket again and again? Northern Iowa has now caught you in a tie for 3rd and even though you own the tiebreaker with them it will make no difference if they end up winning one more game than you. You are a couple of games from 1st place and a couple of games from playing on Thursday night in the "Lou". Which way will it be ?
