the meet is at Boise State, let's hope the track guys do better than the basketball team did!

Daughter Elizabeth from Rose-Hulman across town jumps tomorrow in Iowa in the Division III NCAA championships. She is the defending champ and only a junior.

63-08.25 for Felisha's 2nd throw, she is in first place in the first wave. There are 2 waves

Felisha fouled on her 3rd attempt.

Illinois State's Brittany Smith has take over the lead with a slightly farther toss than Felisha, both should make the finals

MVC athletes stand 1-2 after the 1st flight, the SIU girl (McCall -who has the longest throw in the NCAA this season) is in flight 2

top 8 make the final round, all 8 will score

as a side note here, a win by an MVC athlete would extend the MVC's streak of having an individual champion in the NCAA meet (indoor/outdoor combined) to SEVEN straight meets, which not many non-BCS conferences can say, in fact I don't think ANY could make that claim

SIU's Geneva McCall takes over the lead on her 1st throw 72-5.75

she could probably foul the rest of her throws and win with that throw.

on her 2nd toss McCall throws 75-1.75

hand her the title folks, wow, that is impressive!

after round 1 MVC athletes sit 1-2-3, Felisha is in 3rd behind the SIU & ILS girls. I won't be able to report on the final 3 throws, so if someone wants to watch and report, click on the live video link and live results link and you can post how Felisha does.

Felisha finished in 4th place, fouling on her final 3 attempts. SIU gal won, the ILS gal was 3rd

the 3 ISU athletes compete today at 6, 7 and 9pm at the NCAA indoor meet, if you want to watch live you can click on the watch live video link on page 1 of this thread, good coverage

Brandon did not make the finals, he will end in 15th or 16th place. Didn't really get off a good throw

Nicole Hope EASILY clears her opening height in the women's pole vault, great start
