meet is underway down at Auburn, Jaime Murtagh got us off to a good start, winning the men's high jump, clearing 6-11.5". It's been a while since we've had a high jumper clear 7 feet. That is 2nd best in the MVC so far. Kyle Landon from SIU will win the men's HJ as usual at the MVC meet.

the relay teams did ok, women ran a season best, men were close to a season best, and were under 41 seconds again

the women did well in the 1500

Taylor Austin ran 4:27, Abigail Grider 4:36, Alli Workman 4:41, Taylor Rogers 4:42, Colleen Madden 4:52. I think most of those times are lifetime bests for the girls.

Marcus Neely and Daley Carter were 1st and 3rd in the men's hurdles, 13.93 for the win. The girls were 5th and 11th

highlight updates

men's 1500, ISU goes 2, 7 with Kramer, and Medrano (3:51 and 3:53), Both are probably PR's and are top 10 in the MVC at this point

women's 800

Brooke Moore continues to IMPRESS, winning in 2:06.74, still a ways off from the ISU record, but tops in the MVC!

Brittany Neeley also with an encouraging race in that same race, 2:12.01, so she's getting back into form!

Alethia Marrero also getting back into shape, getting 3rd in the 400 meter hurdles in 60.18

the meet wrapped up at Auburn, overall not a bad meet, we were MUCH improved over last week at EIU.

Depth is still a concern though when thinking about the MVC meet at Wichita in May. We have some outstanding individuals, but in track you need depth as well to win a conference meet, so we'll see how the team does going forward.

Next 2 weeks are home meets for ISU, if you have not been to a meet at the new Gibson Complex, stop on by!
