ISU hosts the first of two straight home meets this weekend as it welcomes 4 other teams to the Gibson Complex for the Gibson Invitational

The meet this weekend is a competition among MVC and OVC teams, although there are only 2 OVC teams coming, SEMO
and SIU-E

The MVC teams are Indiana State, Illinois State, and Southern Illinois.

The Hammer throws and Javelin throws will be Friday, the rest of the meet will take place Saturday

If you're in town take in the meet, along with the home baseball series, you can walk between the 2 events.

Meet schedule, live results, etc, can be found here

Hammer Throw and javelin are underway, watch those then walk over to the baseball game afterwards

day 1 has concluded at the meet, not too many highlights for ISU, Cassandra Roper threw a season best in the women's Hammer Throw 176-01, that's 4th best in the MVC I believe (at this point)

We're somewhat weak yet in the weight events and Javelin event.

Meet resumes tomorrow at noon

meet is ongoing this afternoon, ISU winners so far include

the men's 4 x 100 meter relay won in 40.52, a season best

David Timlin in the 1500

Brooke Moore in the 1500 and 800

Jaime Murtagh in the men's high jump

Marcus Neely in the 110 meter hurdles

Alethia Marrero in the 400 (54.79, season best)

Tyrell Dowdell in the 400 (47.24 season best)
