Illinois State also came back to beat Eastern Illinois. I would think that could be good for us, but following the whole FCS playoff selection process is a new thing for me, so I really don't know what factors into it. Time for us to get educated!

I have no real expertise but IF SDSU can beat NDSU and UNI wins today and beats WIU next week that makes us what i consider the 2nd best team in the conference.

looks like ISU can finish 2nd in the MVFC if N. Dak. St. wins today, then MSU beats N. Dak. St. next week, and UNI beats Western Ill. next week.
Of course ISU must win at SIU next weekend and finish 5-3 in MVFC play

Wouldn't we want South Dakota State to win today? It's their last game and they are 4-3. If they win and we win next week we'll both be 5-3 with us having the tie breaker. If North Dakota State wins this week and next they will be 5-3 as well, but have the tie breaker over us. ??????? Also if NDS wins both weeks they could go 8-3 overall and have an FBS win. I'm no expert either!

I never expected us to be talking about it, but hey why not this year? If we win another one....why not us? Wouldn't it be some great press for the conference and FCS football in general? From longest losing streak in the country to playoffs in one season???? Unreal! They'd make a movie about these kids!

Id just like us to get our 7th win and make them deny us....i though 4 wins would be a good turnaround this year. we could easliy be 8-2 right now.

Don't know how NDSU is ranked with the record they have.
Actually, I take that back. Their overall record is better than I realized. Still frustrates me that we lost that game. No sense dwelling on it too much, but now that we're 6-4, I can't help thinking that's one we let get away. The UNI and WIU losses are easier to accept for me.

on a side note, how about SEMO going from 2-9 to 9-2. I mention it because if they dont get their auto bid they probably stole(earned) one of the at large bids.

Ok here we go...last game! Currently tied for 2nd. To place 2nd outright in the conference we need Northern Iowa (away) to beat Western (home) and Missouri State (home) to beat North Dakota State (away). Of course this all depends on us winning 1 more!
Personally, I like Northern Iowa at Western and think Mo State with homefield advantage can upset the Bison in Springpatch.

Here's another thought. At worst we finish 5th if we lose and the teams we've beaten win. That would be disappointing at this point, but that is pretty incredible given what people thought of us coming into the year.

I wish we could have played 12 games this year. Especially if they could have played EIU. I understood them not playing them again because im sure no one would have expected us to have our record and them to be 2-9. an extra win would have helped us imo.
