The JSW Level
Any word yet? Here's hoping that the "talk" has died down and the Sycamore/Hoosier game remains on Saturday, September 1st instead of Thursday night. It sounded at one point like it was a done deal but if they haven't announced it by now, I am hoping it is safe to say that it will be on Saturday.

From an ISU alum standpoint, the alumni "event" will be so much better for ISU if the game stays on Saturday. The last two games in Bloomington brought 3,000+ fans wearing blue and were first class events for the alumni office. A Thursday night affair will draw less than half of that. It will be fun either way but tailgating on Saturday sounds like a lot more fun.

Brochure for ISU Football golf outing has Thursday, August 30.
Thanks 88. My guess is that brochure is the answer. Because IU seems to be hanging on to the Saturday game, there is hope. The Hoosier schedule was in the Star last week and it still was listed as Saturday so maybe there is hope but we likely will know pretty soon. Can't wait till the game, either way. (and the next two years after that as well).

Probably will depend on what the Big Ten Channel wants. If they want it on Thursday, it will be on Thursday. If they have a game for Thursday night and don't need it, we will see it on Saturday. TV (and money) will decide the schedule, and it might not be "official" for awhile.

I have asked a couple of different staff members at ISU about it...and they didn't know either. So I assume that Bluethunder is right...the Big Ten network will decide the time and date of this game. I sure hope its Saturday....the crowd will not be good for a Thursday night game at all!

The Big Ten Network is 51% Big Ten, 49% FOX Regional Sports.

HOPEFULLY, the game stays on SAT
