UPDATED SUNDAY AT 10:00 A.M.

Somehow we got through two victories so far this weekend...although Saturday was pretty miserable for the teams and dedicated fans who sat through the 3:07 affair. For today (Sunday), we can look forward to a very wet outfield and unless the rain ends an hour or two before the game starts, the Field Turf infield will play like a "slip-and-slide!"

Here's the latest forecast for today from the National Weather Service:

Today: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. West wind between 3 and 9 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Rainfall total Saturday from when rain started to 8:00 a.m. is .89 inches at the Terre Haute airport. The forecast says another .10 of an inch possible--unless we have a thunderstorm--prior to gametime today. With our field, we should be just fine for today's game. The outfield though may require mud spikes...lol!!

The gametime temperature for Sunday at 1:00 is 65-degrees with light winds from the NNW at 10 mph. There is a chance for showers and thundershowers during the game... but less than prior to the game (hopefully).

Overnight, we had far less rain than expected, with about .20 of an inch between midnight and 6:00.
