I'd just thought I would let you know how VU is doing. Notice I didn't post this under Sycamore Basketball.

VU won their first game of the season on Tuesday 89-65 over Southeastern Illinois.

VU won their second game on Friday night 109-48 over Aim High Prep and VU also won tonight 96-45 over Allegany. Olney Central also played here this weekend but didn't play Vincennes. OCC has Wabash Valley stars, Thomas Anderson and John Michael Jarvis, and Sullivan grad Mason Gregory.

Landrus, you missed out kid. 10 years ago VU had some quality basketball players play there. And some of the competition they played were pretty good too. Not so much anymore...I've seen the PE Complex absolutely full before as well. I've seen Rick Pitino, Bob Knight, Kelvin Sampson in attendance at VU games as well!! Go Trailblazers!

Shawn Marion of the Dallas Mavericks used to play here and so did former ISU player Rashad Reed. They have had some very good kids play here and they have one right now in Deshawn Delaney. This kid is special and really athletic.

Marion was a stud...Carl Landry played there for two years..I watched him throw it off the backboard to himself and throw down a monster jam..Jeff Varem played at VU then transferred to Washington State..Got drafted by the Bulls but never made it to the NBA..Played with the Globtrotters for a year or two..That guy could do it all....Tyrone Young was a heck of a player...I saw one of the greatest dunks of my life in that gym. A 6'1 guy dunked on a 6'8..I mean absolutely threw it down on him..The place was packed..There were about 8 students who ran onto the court after the dunk...VU got a technical foul for it...It was against Wabash Valley..I remember Alan Goff from THN...He could make it rain from the 3...Memories

None of you whippersnappers even mentioned Ricky Green and Bob McAdoo.

I wasn't thought of yet when they played there! My dad tells me how good they were! He said Kojak Fuller was a stud as well....

Tyrone Nesby was also a former Blazer who went on to the NBA for a while...Good ol JUCO basketball at its finest!
