End of the first half...sycamores are shooting much better this time. Difference? Butler hasn't guarded as quickly as FIU did. Gives our shooters more time, we shooting something in the neighborhood of 72%. 42-29 score. Lots of inside points, too. Working the ball well...keep it up ladies!

wow, ISU goes from a 15 point lead to trailing by 5 in a heartbeat, not good

eh, this game's over, ISU just looks awful here in the 2nd half, down 72-60 w/ 4 min. to go, all this after ISU held a 15 point lead here in the 2nd half.

how do you go from a double digit lead to a double digit loss that quickly ??????

I don't know, but the implosion is complete, ISU loses 81-72, unbelievable 2nd half for ISU, might be another long season for the girls.

I went to the game ISU looked good in the first half and about half the second half. Then for about 6 minutes they looked about as bad as I have ever seen a basketball team look. If you had taken a video of those 6 minutes and showed it to someone they would have thought that the Lady Sycamores had never played in a basketball game in their lives. They showed no confidence or ability during that time period kind of like that few minutes in the first half against Michigan but much worse. This game must have been like the Wichita State game when they lost something like a 25 point lead in the second half. They have talent if they can just put a complete game together. I was also surprised Coach Moren didn't use the timeouts more during the melt down.

Timeout!!

I do not believe that she used any Timeouts while Butler was on a 16-0 run, which was part of a 26-3 run. I almost bled to death sitting in front of my computer.

We have collapsed before but I do not think we have had such disastrous back-to-back capitulations (Florida International and Butler) in many years.

This loss goes to the coaches. They were out played from the bench in the second half. There is just too much talent on this ball team to not have viable options to go to when they get challeged with something different.

The press Butler was using did not seem to be that tough of a press. But it really seemed to throw the ISU players. I didn't think the Coach called a time out during that time but I was unsure until SycamoreSage said the same thing. Not calling a time out still baffles the hell out of me.

I agree with the above also. Plus, I believe Taylor would have been very capable of bringing the ball down the court without all the passing back and forth. Again, the press wasn't all that tight.
The other thing that bothered me was Butler pulled their posts and went with their speed but Shannon sat to bench until the game was totally out of hand. She had been hittting the bucket (and one) for awhile, why not continue what's working?
